Client didn’t have a website for their growing company so I offered my services to help with that.

My Walkthrough
This client was a super cool client to have. She had been cutting my hair since before I even got into web development and over time, her clientele grew to the point where she needed her own place. So shortly after she secured a building and hired more staff, I noticed she didn’t have a website yet. So one day I just told her that I’d like the privilege of helping her with that. She was excited that I offered and we partnered on this project from then on.

She clarified up front that she wasn’t too picky and that she didn’t even know what she wanted. I offered to mock something up for her but she told me that she’d rather just trust whatever I thought best. Even still, I provided a mockup. I reached out to a friend who is a professional designer and asked if they’d help me brainstorm and come up with a fresh design and I was really happy with what we came up with. I developed the site, launched it, and everyone was happy!

A year later, I noticed on their google analytics reports that they received quite a bit of organic web traffic! So I rethought the design and decided to optimize my code, clarify some of the action items so that people could navigate better, and I added a sliding hero banner. That way we could their monthly action items right at the top.

I really enjoy working with this client and it’s been so much fun to maintain and be a small part of a growing local company such as this one. Go check them out if you’re ever in the area!
